Role

Automation Reliability Engineers shape the next level of Enterprise Cloud Services offerings for multiple scenarios within the company. You will join a team of motivated individuals in a well-established broader group of automation experts.

What you ll do

Automation reliability and engineering team (ARE) at SAP Enterprise Cloud Services team plays a crucial role in ensuring the stability, reliability, and scalability of our systems and applications. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and maintain our infrastructure, automate processes, and optimize performance. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies and contribute to the success of our products and services.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and create agile methodologies and DevOps practices to optimize and establish a reliable automation infrastructure.
• Design resilient architectures to ensure high availability and reliability of systems and applications.
• Analyse system outages and create decision tree for faster resolution of the issues.
• Implement self-healing mechanisms and automated remediation actions to mitigate issues proactively.
• Monitor resource utilization trends and performance metrics to identify potential outliers.
• Define meaningful SLIs and establish corresponding SLOs to measure system reliability and performance.
  

What you bring

• Bachelor s or master s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field, with 6 to 14 years of relevant work experience.
• Proven expertise in SAP Technologies (SAP NetWeaver certification preferred). SAP Basis knowledge or experience is mandatory.
• Solid understanding of networking concepts, system administration, and security principles.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Familiarity in Data science tools, Machine learning fundamentals and algorithms.
• Experience in designing and implementing automated tests.
• Strong proficiency in scripting and automation using languages such as Python, Shell, or similar.
• Knowledge on configuration management tools such as Ansible, Puppet, or Chef is an added advantage.
