- Our team develops and maintains a top-tier, fully managed, private, and highly available distributed solution that enables customers to seamlessly connect to Salesforce
- Our team is dedicated to designing, implementing, and maintaining these secure Private Connect solutions, ensuring optimal performance, reliability, and adherence to industry-standard security practices
- We collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including network, security, and infrastructure teams, to deliver comprehensive and tailored Private Connect solutions that meet customer s business requirements
- We are looking for experienced Software Engineers to join our team
- In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining secure private network connections along with expanding our solution to other cloud substrates
As a lead engineer, your job responsibilities will include:
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to think critically and identify root causes of issues.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work in a collaborative team environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Ability to understand and define things at big picture level
- Ability to deep dive to precision details along with great decision making skill( mainly you define when and where to stop)
- You have experience balancing live-site management, feature delivery, and retirement of technical debt,
- Familiarity with crash-only and recovery-oriented software design.
- Excited by building reliable, self-healing services on unreliable hardware.
- Experience designing, developing, debugging, and operating resilient distributed systems that run across thousands of compute nodes in multiple datacenters.
- Capable of driving and delivering thin slices of end-to-end functionality on a regular cadence with data-driven feedback loops.
- Build new and exciting components in an ever-growing and evolving market technology to provide scale and efficiency.
- Develop high-quality, production-ready code that can be used by millions of users of our applications
- Make design decisions on the basis of performance, scalability, and future expansion.
- Work in a Hybrid Engineering model and contribute to all phases of SDLC including design, implementation, code reviews, automation, and testing of the features.
- Build efficient components/algorithms on a microservice multi-tenant SaaS cloud environment
- Code review, mentoring junior engineers, and providing technical guidance to the team (depending on the seniority level)
- 10+ years of development experience with Python in a Linux/UNIX data center environment
- Strong understanding of Public Cloud (AWS etc) networking concepts, and network security principles.
- Familiarity with public cloud computing platforms and services
- Experience with live site / production service ownership
- Experience owning and operating multiple instances of a mission critical service
- Experience with Agile development methodology and Test-Driven Development
- Experience using telemetry and metrics to drive operational excellence
