Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Senior Operations Manager to lead and optimize our operations in the defence technology sector. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of defence procurement, supply chain management, compliance, and operational efficiency. This role requires a dynamic leader who can oversee end-to-end operations, drive process improvements, and ensure seamless execution of defence-related projects, including drones, anti-drone systems, and AI-driven surveillance technologies.

Key Responsibilities

Operations & Process Optimization:

• Oversee daily operations, ensuring efficiency in partner connects, day to day operations and related procurements.
• Develop and implement SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) to enhance operational workflow.
• Ensure timely execution of defence contracts and projects, meeting quality and regulatory standards.
• Optimize resource allocation for maximum productivity and cost-effectiveness.

Defence Procurement & Compliance:

• Manage interactions with government agencies, defence clients, and vendors to facilitate smooth procurement processes.
• Ensure adherence to defence procurement regulations (DPP, DPM, DRDO, MoD guidelines, etc.).

Project & Stakeholder Management:

• Coordinate with cross-functional teams, ensuring smooth collaboration between engineering, R&D, and manufacturing units.
• Serve as a primary liaison with defence authorities, military personnel, and key stakeholders.
• Oversee risk management strategies to mitigate operational challenges.
• Ensure the successful deployment of defence technology solutions in coordination with government agencies.

Logistics & Supply Chain Management:

• Optimize supply chain operations to ensure timely delivery of defence equipment and technology.
• Develop inventory control and warehousing strategies to meet defence demands.
• Identify and on board reliable vendors for defence-grade materials and components.

Team Leadership & Development:

• Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing operations team.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and accountability.
• Drive training and development initiatives to enhance team expertise in defense operations.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

Must Require:

• BE. Electronics & communication, Aeronautical Engineer/Master’s degree in Operations Management, Defence Technology, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in operations management, defence technology, or defence procurement.
• Strong knowledge of government procurement processes, tenders (EOI, RFP, RFQ), and defence acquisition policies.
• Experience in giving demos to defence persuaders & other military stakeholder

Good to have:

• Familiarity with compliance standards, security protocols, and regulatory frameworks in the defence sector.
• Ability to work with government agencies, defence contractors, and military stakeholders.
• Strong leadership, problem-solving, and strategic decision-making skills.
• Experience in managing large-scale defence projects, preferably in drones, surveillance, or AI-based defence tech.
• Expertise in supply chain logistics, vendor management, and production planning.
• Knowledge of AI-driven defence technologies & cyber security
• Experience with DRDO, MoD projects, or defence PSUs.
