Finance Executive-Accounts Payable

Job Purpose

The Accounts Payable Executive Finance role is part of the Global Services Finance Accounts Payable team, whose role is to support the UK Finance team in the provision of timely invoicing and accurate payment process to the rest of the business.

Key Accountabilities

• To fully support and action agreed processed and controls within the team.
• Ensure invoice details are accurately into Epicor, Purchase orders are correctly matched with the relevant invoices using Proactis (P2P), according to SAGE agreed service standards.
• Prepare the draft payments for Reviewer and Contributor payments.
• Prepare supplier statement reconciliations and resolving reconciling items.
• Assist in processing cash expenses and company credit card expenses on a timely basis according to SAGE service standards.
• Work to agreed Accounts payable moth end cut off timetable.
• Clear the ledger balances (Debit balances).
• Deal with Supplier queries in a timely fashion as per agreed SLAs.
• Liaise with the rest of SAGE, ensuring effective communication with regard to queries on invoices and payments.
• To support management in the introduction of any new processes and contribute to their development and implementation.

Skills, Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelors degree in accounting or Finance.
• 1- 2 years of experience in Accounting or Finance.
• Knowledge of double-entry accounting according to US Generally Accepted Accounting Standards, or International Financial Reporting Standards will be preferred.
• Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel (for example, ability to construct pivot tables, and formulae using SUMIF and VLOOKUP) and basic knowledge of using other Office applications such as Power point and Word.
• An ability to effectively communicate ideas and explanations to colleagues and stakeholders, who may be non-Finance experts.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-conscious environment with rapidly changing priorities.
