NDT Technician Level 2

Role & responsibilities

Reports to Back shop Manager

• Performs inspection of engine parts as per relevant NDT process manual and comply with quality standards.
• Ensure that the tools and instruments used in the work performed are adequately preserved, calibrated and in good condition.
• setting up and calibrate NDT test equipment, make evaluation, interpret and take decision to certify inspection result in technique in which he/ she is qualified
• Follow all instructions and procedures according to quality manuals and standards established in NDT inspection.
• Well versed with latest revision of component verification manuals, and publications that apply to the inspection and/or repair of an engine.
• Ability to accurately perform the analysis procedures in accordance with NDT standards.
• Thorough knowledge of written instructions, codes, standards used by Non-destructive industry.
• Carry out functions and activities in strict compliance with the requirements of customer, regulatory authorities and the Safran Quality system
• Compliance with delegated work in timely manner and with the required quality.
• Ensure that the material used to inspect has a useful life and within the expiration limits before use.
• Perform duplicate check of work performed as appropriate to the task criticality.
• Segregate, protect and keep parts correctly identified to comply with 5S practices.
• Prepare NonConformity Reports if required and respond in a timely manner.
• Verify the work progress of work at the end of the shift and documented to guarantee the continuity of the work
• Check the order and cleanliness of the work area during work and at the end of the shift
• Support the supervisor or NDT Level 3 in delegated tasks
• Demonstrate an appropriate knowledge of the manufacturer maintenance Data, Part 145 requirements, MOE, Human Factors, FTS and EWIS.
• Ability to managing multiple activities at the same time in noisy environment and long analytical time

Preferred candidate profile

Technical Diploma or Degree in Engineering

• Able to demonstrate medical check-up and Eye test meeting the standards of EN 4179/NAS 410 and standard acceptable to EASA/DGCA

• Minimum 3 years of NDT inspection experience in Ultrasonic, Magnetic particle and/or Fluorescent Penetrant inspection preferably in aviation industry.
