Industrial Engineer

Objective:

To identify the areas of improvement in manufacturing processes and upgrading to future state of Industry 4.0 and thereby improving HSE, reducing cost & improving productivity, efficiency and quality continuously.

Main Function Responsibilities and Activities

• Identify areas of manufacturing bottlenecks and improve continuously
• Work on plant layout and find ways to optimize continously
• Co-ordinate with other manufacturing sites in ISE division and lead the benchmark activities in SEPI
• Manage and lead the activities related to ME team
• Improving manufacturing work instructions, line balancing, lean manufacturing, Poke-Yoke methodology and VSM
• Perform the time and method study on various programs and define standard way of working
• Design the workstations based on the standard way of working
• Identify VA/NVA in the manufacturing processes and eliminate continously
• Work with line leaders/Superviosors & trainer to improve the processes
• Identifying the tools and machinery needed to improve the processes along with Heavy means and calibration teams
• Ensure all the team members are trained, aware and strictly adhere to all HSE procedures/policies/ practices
• Implement/support and respect all HSE initiatives including HSE standards, GPIs, Risk assessments, audit actions, training/awareness sessions conducted by authorized personnel and other related HSE topics
• Initiate analysis of accidents/incidents or potential risk situation and implement appropriate actions to mitigate and avoid recurrence
• Serve as custodian for safe work practices, Perform HSE prevention plan for onsite service providers
• Follow ergo exercises as trained by the medical practitioner/ ergonomics training
• Contribute continuous improvement ideas to HSE program and risk assessments

Work environment

• Located in SEPI plant, Hyderabad
• Travel may be required

The Industrial Engineer will work in an industrial environment and will be linked to :

• Several internal department as Quality, Production, Supply Chain, Lean etc..
• Foreign Offices/manufacturing plant/Headquarters
• Customer representatives

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

A. Educational Qualifications

• BE in Industrial (Preferable) or Electrical or Mechanical engineering

B. Work Experience - Technical Knowledge

• 5 -8yrs Years experience in Industrial environment i.e Wiring harness

C. Professional Skills

• Manufacturing Engineering
• Good understanding of tools and processes related to this industry
• Configuration Management
• Soft Skills : Good level in MS Excel, Office, Powerpoint & Visio
• Statistical tools analysis
• Fluent in english

D. Behavioral Skills

• To be able to work as a team and co-ordinate efficiently
• Be Proactive
• To be able to communicate clearly
• Good listening capability and understand the needs of internal/external customers
