Balance of Plant Design Engineer (BOP) in Power Plant Engineering

Role & responsibilities

Role: BOP Design engineer (Power plant Engineer for Balance of Plant Engineering)

Qualification : Bachelors degree in mechanical engineering (Regular)

Experience : 12 to 15 years in balance of plant equipment design for small or medium capacity power plants is mandatory.

• We are looking for experienced Balance of plant Design Engineer to join our team and play a critical role in the design and development of auxiliary systems that support power plant operations.
• This position involves review and finalize Pretreatment plant, DM plant, Cooling tower, Fuel handling system, Compressed air system, HVAC and Firefighting.
• He should be able to review vendor drawings like PFDs, P&IDs and layout.
• He should be conversant in selection of pumps and other equipment. Knowledge of calculation of pipe sizing for IBR and Non-IBR pipe is intended.
• Knowledge of plant and equipment integration is essential.
• Preparation of engineering specification, offer review and supporting purchase team is required.
• He may be required to visit site during engineering to support erection and commissioning team.
• He should be hands on in resolving site issues independently.

Preferred candidate profile

12 to 15 years in balance of plant equipment design for small or medium capacity power plants is mandatory.
