Job Description

Russell Investments is seeking a talented Social Media Specialist to join our Global Communications team. Reporting to the Digital Media Manager, this individual will be responsible for helping to manage and execute our social media strategy on LinkedIn as well as supporting in the creation of design assets. This role requires a blend of content creation, graphic design, and multimedia skills, as well as data-driven analysis to optimize our social media efforts. They will work closely with our Marketing and Communications teams to develop engaging social media content that will resonate with our target audiences and align with the firms strategic initiatives.

This role should have a strong understanding of Russell Investments business and industry and, ideally, should have experience with our marketing and design tech stacks. They must be a self-starter that can anticipate and proactively identify opportunities to execute best-in-class evergreen and campaign-based social media content, while also maintaining a comprehensive content calendar. This role also requires a passion for written and visual storytelling, testing creative hypotheses, reporting on learnings, and building strategic insights.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and execute a comprehensive social media content calendar aligned with business goals and marketing campaigns
  
• Create engaging and informative content tailored to our primary social media platform, LinkedIn
  
• Write compelling copy that reflects the brands voice and positions the company as a thought leader in the financial industry
  
• Collaborate effectively with internal teams to source and develop content, including PR, marketing, news, and employee engagement
  
• Design eye-catching graphics and images to enhance the visual appeal of social media posts
  
• Utilize multimedia tools to create dynamic content, such as animations, video, and interactive posts
  
• Monitor, analyze, and report on key social media metrics and performance indicators
  
• Provide insights and recommendations based on data to optimize content strategy and improve engagement and reach
  
• Utilize social media management and analytics tools to track platform health and refine tactics based on performance
  
• Stay informed about social media trends, tools, and best practices to ensure the company remains at the forefront of digital marketing
  
• Support the vision and values of the company through role modeling and encouraging desired behaviors
  
• Participate in various company initiatives and projects as requested

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Marketing, Communications, and/or Business
  
• 2+ years of experience producing and managing social media content from idea through execution for a corporation, using management tools like Sprout Social
  
• 1+ year of experience in graphic design
  
• In-depth knowledge and understanding of social media platforms and how theyre evolving, as well as their respective audiences and strategies
  
• Experience with employee advocacy programs is a plus
  
• Ability to distill complicated content to digestible social media efforts experience in the financial/investing space is ideal
  
• Experience working on international programs or projects
  
• Expert level experience using tools like Adobe Creative Suite (Adobe Express, Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro)
  
• Experience with multimedia content creation, including video production and editing with tools like Premiere Pro
  
• An analytical mindset with experience in reporting and using analytics tools (Sprout Social, Google Analytics, etc.)
  
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  
• A keen eye for detail and a passion for staying updated with digital marketing trends
  
• Strong team ethic and collaborative work style, but must be able to work independently, assume responsibility and be accountable
  
• Proven initiative, judgment, discretion, and project management abilities with a focus on accuracy
  
• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, with advanced Outlook, Word, and Excel skills with the ability to pick up new systems and software easily
