Due to continuous growth, CommScope is looking to hire Supervisor, Imports to be based at our site in Goa or Mumbai, India. This role will report directly to the Manager- Logistics. This is an Mid-level role designed to support the processing daily outbound shipments with Pre and Post documentation. and tracking of shipment , Planning of vehicles and containers, It will support across all segments/BUs/Plants/Customer Service.
How You'll Help Us Connect the World:
Handling/Supervising entire Import Operations/Clearance work Interacting with freight forwarder, CHA, Shipping Line, Terminal for clearance of import goods. Keeping track of all import shipment & following with Customs house Agent for filing Bill of Entry and clearance Knowledge of PIMS / SIMS / NFMIS / CHIMS / LMPC / CIMS / EPR / ETA / BIS / QCO etc and strictly follow the compliance to rules and regulations. Checking timely notification/circulars related to BIS/QCO related parts Checking ADD notifications. Following up for DPD movement/ CFS movement with CFS team/Terminal team Checking DPD balance and Invoices, coordinating with port Authorities Interacting with Goa customs Authorities for Import related works Checking HSN code and duty structure for new parts. Updating HSN code in GTS/SAP system Filing Monthly return of goods imported under concessional rate of duty Intimation letters submission to Goa customs for clearance under IGCR scheme Preparing Query reply letters to customs Verifying Bill of Entry checklists with Customs tariff heading and Duty structure and Arranging the Duty payment from Finance Preparing of Cheque request of All terminals, DHL Express, Fedex, etc. and submitting the same to Finance. Verifying invoices and sending to respective team for corrections. Checking documents of used/secondhand equipment as per the compliance. Coordination with transporter for getting the material in factory and informing to planners. Sending Original EPCG, SHIS, SFIS licence along with all other related documents to CHA for registration Knowledge of RODTEP utilization Getting freight quote from different freight forwarder and providing to planners as per their requirements Comparing Air and Ocean freight as per L1, L2 and L3 and arranging pick up of Third-Party shipment. Preparing E-way bills Preparing and verifying all reports (Operation review slides). Required Qualifications for Consideration:
Bachelors Degree plus a minimum of Five (5) years of experience in a Logistics industry with Import Export Knowledge. Experience with SAP and TM preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Office products. Critical problem-solving skills Experience summarizing results and producing reports using advanced Microsoft Excel functions. Ability to develop interactive working relationships with internal and external contacts. Must be highly organized, can multi-task, have good time management skills and attention to detail. Global approach and ability to work across geographies and cultures.
