Assistant Manager

Roles and Responsibilities

• Oversee NPD (New Product Development) purchases, including material selection, vendor development, and cost optimization strategies.
  
• Analyze market trends and competitor activity to inform procurement decisions and drive business growth.
  
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes.
  
• Develop and maintain relationships with vendors to negotiate prices, improve supply chain efficiency, and reduce costs.
  
• Manage direct purchase operations for automotive components, ensuring timely delivery and quality standards.
• Maintain costing sheets for different processes.
• Procurement of NPD fixture/gauges.
  

Desired Candidate Profile

• 5-7 years of experience in direct procurement or related field within the automotive industry.
  
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (B.Tech/B.E.) from a reputed institution.
  
• Strong understanding of costing principles, strategic sourcing techniques, and vendor development best practices.
• Intermediate in Project Management
• Proficient in Reading, Understanding, Interpreting of Engineering Drawings
• Exposure of procurement of Jigs, Fixture, tooling, & gauges.
