Application Support Engineer

Role & responsibilities

We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Production Support Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in UNIX/Linux systems, Oracle databases, and PLSQL, with a strong focus on production support. As a Production Support Engineer, you will be responsible for monitoring, maintaining, and troubleshooting production environments. You will be expected to work in a rotational shift schedule.

Preferred candidate profile

• Provide production support for UNIX/Linux systems and Oracle-based applications.
• Monitor and troubleshoot issues related to Oracle databases and PLSQL scripts.
• Collaborate with other teams to ensure smooth operations and efficient incident resolution.
• Execute routine tasks, including job scheduling, system performance monitoring, and log analysis.
• Ensure timely resolution of incidents and service requests while adhering to SLAs.
• Participate in the maintenance and enhancement of production systems.
• Support and troubleshoot production applications, ensuring high availability.
• Assist in database performance tuning and optimization.
• Work in rotational shifts to provide 24/7 support as required.
