Job Title: First Class Mines Manager/Quartz

Job Summary:
The First Class Mines Manager will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and supervising the day-to-day operations of a mining site to ensure the extraction process is conducted safely, efficiently, and within budget. The role requires comprehensive knowledge of mining laws, geology, and safety protocols, and a strong ability to lead and manage a team.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee the entire mining operation, including planning, production, and maintenance.
Develop and implement operational strategies to maximize efficiency and minimize costs.
Ensure that mining activities are conducted in accordance with the mine plan and statutory requirements.
Monitor and analyze production data to ensure targets are met.
Safety and Compliance:
Ensure strict adherence to all safety regulations and statutory requirements.
Implement and enforce safety protocols, conducting regular safety drills and audits.
Investigate and report any accidents or incidents on the site, implementing corrective actions as needed.
Maintain compliance with environmental regulations and implement sustainability initiatives.
Team Management:
Lead and supervise the mining team, including engineers, supervisors, and workers.
Conduct regular training sessions to enhance the skills and safety awareness of the team.
Manage workforce planning, including shift scheduling, task assignments, and performance evaluations.
Foster a culture of teamwork, safety, and continuous improvement.
Resource Management:
Manage the use of resources such as equipment, materials, and labor to ensure efficient operation.
Oversee maintenance and repair of mining equipment to ensure operational readiness.
Coordinate with procurement for the timely availability of necessary materials and equipment.
Planning and Reporting:
Develop short-term and long-term mine plans, ensuring alignment with company goals.
Prepare and present reports on production, safety, and financial performance to senior management.
Assist in budgeting and financial planning for the mining operations.
Liaison and Communication:
Act as the primary point of contact for regulatory bodies, contractors, and other stakeholders.
Maintain effective communication with all relevant parties, including internal teams and external consultants.
Represent the company in public hearings, community meetings, and industry forums as required.
Qualifications:
Bachelorâs Degree in Mining Engineering or a related field.
Valid First Class Mines Manager Certificate is mandatory .
Food and Accommodation provided.
Minimum of [5] years of experience in mining operations,
Proven experience in open-cast or underground mining operations.
Skills:
Strong leadership and team management abilities.
Excellent understanding of mining laws, regulations, and safety standards.
Proficiency in mining software and tools (e.g., Mine Planning Software, AutoCAD, etc.).
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions under pressure.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Other Requirements:
Willingness to work in remote locations.
Physical fitness to manage on-site activities.
Ability to work extended hours and in challenging conditions.
