Application Engineer

Position: Application Engineer/Field Application Engineer
Location: Pune
Experience: 2 to 4 years
Education: Bachelor's degree in Electronics/Electrical Engineering or equivalent

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Work with customers and partners to identify effective solutions for sales opportunities via phone, email, and on-site visits.
Be a product and technology expert for Industrial Automation & Industrial IoT products.
Collaborate with Sales, Product Management, Technical Support, and partners to advance the sales process and resolve customer issues.
Develop and present technical content and training to end customers, partners, and internal teams.
Travel 30% of the time across India as required.
Gather customer requirements and collaborate with engineering and ecosystem partners on applications development.

REQUIREMENTS:
Knowledge of PLC, SCADA, HMI programming, and industrial automation systems (Controllers, Networking, Remote I/O).
Experience with protocols like TCP/IP, Modbus RTU/TCP, IEC-60870-5, DNP3, MQTT.
Basic knowledge of Embedded C, Linux, Ethernet/Fiber Optic Networks, Ring Topology.
Experience with Wi-Fi, Cellular systems, Routing, VPN, and security protocols is a plus.
Experience with Cloud & IIoT-based products; knowledge of OEE, EMS, MES is beneficial.
Basic troubleshooting skills for computers/peripherals.
Strong communication, teamwork, and presentation skills; fluent in English.
Good email writing and reading skills.
Customer-focused, solutions-oriented, and adaptable to changing priorities.
Ability to provide internal training, demos, and support; contribute to new projects.
