Focus
Contributes to analysis of business, application, and technical infrastructure requirements. Supports the design, build, improvement and integration of third-party packaging required to support the business portfolio or infrastructure platform in terms of robustness, scalability, availability and efficiency. Supports initiatives that deliver workable end-to-end infrastructure solutions that enforce to Technology standards.
Organizational Context
Entry-level experienced hire, member of a product engineering or delivery and integration team reporting to a Senior Infrastructure Engineer, Engineering Director or Director of Technical Delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Performs core technical aspects to supports third-party application packaging, deployments and technologies related to dynamic infrastructure platforms
Participates in current state system analysis, requirements gathering, and documentation
Supports configuration and implementation deployments
Contributes to the creation of technical design/implementation documentation
Supports requirements understanding and issue resolution throughout the project life cycle
Participates in troubleshooting capacity and availability issues, various moves/adds/changes, server software installation and configuration
Participates in test planning and execution
Work with project teams to prepare components for production
Provide support for ongoing platform infrastructure availability
Works on prioritized/assigned features for ongoing sprints

Education & Experience
Up to 4 years of experience with systems analysis/programming, incorporating: design methodology, Infrastructure operations support or engineering
Experience with a variety of software languages, operating systems, or network protocols
Bachelor s Degree in computer science, computer engineering, or related field required
Knowledge/Skills
Specific technical knowledge in one or more of the following areas: VMWare, Unix, Citrix, Linux, Solaris, Windows, Z/OS, Junos, IOS, etc
Specific knowledge of one or more of the following: infrastructure and server theories, principles, and concepts, application infrastructure and standards, networking fundamentals, storage management (i. e. SAN) design and support, databases (i. e. IMS, DB2, SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, MS Access, etc. ), middleware technologies (i. e. WebSphere)
Understanding of software defined networking, automation and orchestration
Core understanding of the core tools used in the planning, analyzing, crafting , building, testing, configuring and maintaining of assigned application(s)
Core knowledge of platform delivery methodology (Agile, Scrum, Agile XP, Test-Driven Development, Waterfall, etc. )
Experience with third party application packaging
Experience with Win OS, SCCM, MECM and corp app store a plus
Experience with Windows patching process and troubleshooting a plus
