Key Purpose of the Job:
The role holder is responsible for the achievement of sales targets and conversion of leads to customers at a Regional level.
The role holder is also responsible for managing the sales processes in the region, developing process improvements and reducing turnaround time.
Ensuring adequate staffing in all the sales teams in the region is also a critical responsibility of the role holder.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans to consistently achieve and exceed regional sales targets for medical equipment finance.
- Focus on acquiring new customers and expanding business with existing clients.
- Lead, manage, mentor, and motivate a high-performing sales team.
- This includes recruitment, training, performance management, and career development of sales professionals.
- Ensure adequate staffing levels are maintained across all sales teams within the region.
- Continuously evaluate and improve sales processes to enhance efficiency, reduce turnaround time, and maximize conversion rates.
- Implement best practices and ensure adherence to company policies and procedures.
- Cultivate and manage relationships with key decision-makers at SME medical practices, clinics, hospitals, and other healthcare providers to generate and close medical equipment finance deals.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, partners (e., medical equipment vendors), and industry influencers.
- Represent the company professionally and build a strong brand presence in the region.
- Conduct thorough market research and competitor analysis to identify opportunities, trends, and potential risks within the medical equipment finance sector.
- Use this information to refine sales strategies and stay ahead of the competition.
- Develop and maintain a deep understanding of medical equipment financing options, including various loan structures, lease options, and other financial products.
- Be able to effectively communicate the value proposition to clients.
- Provide accurate and timely sales reports, forecasts, and performance updates to senior management.
- Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Ensure all sales activities comply with regulatory requirements and company policies.
- Adhere to risk management guidelines and procedures, especially regarding secured lending practices.
- Collaborate effectively with other departments, such as credit, operations, and legal, to ensure smooth deal execution and customer satisfaction.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or a related field.
- MBA is a plus.
- Minimum 10-20 years of proven experience in secured lending, specifically within the equipment finance industry.
- Experience with medical equipment finance is highly preferred.
- Extensive experience in managing and leading sales teams.
- Strong track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
- Demonstrated expertise in originating and closing deals within the SME segment.
- Deep understanding of equipment finance products, processes, and regulations.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
- Strong negotiation and closing skills.
- Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients and partners.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Willingness to travel within the region
