MEAN / MERN Technology Lead

The MEAN/MERN Technology Lead is responsible for driving the development of scalable, high-performance web and mobile applications using MEAN (MongoDB, Express.js, Angular, Node.js) or MERN (MongoDB, Express.js, React, Node.js) stacks. This role will lead the architecture, design, and execution of full-stack solutions, manage technical teams, and ensure that best practices are followed throughout the development lifecycle. The ideal candidate is an expert in JavaScript technologies and frameworks, capable of solving complex problems, and guiding the team to deliver state-of-the-art applications.

Key Responsibilities :

1. Full-Stack Development :
   
• Lead the development of web and mobile applications using either the MEAN or MERN stack.
  
• Architect and develop highly scalable, performance-driven web applications using Node.js on the server side and React/Angular on the front end.
  
• Design, implement, and optimize NoSQL databases, primarily MongoDB, to handle large data sets.
  
• Ensure code quality and application performance by following best practices in full-stack development.
  
2. Technical Leadership :
   
• Provide leadership and guidance to a team of front-end and back-end developers.
  
• Establish and enforce best practices, coding standards, and guidelines for MEAN/MERN stack development.
  
• Mentor junior developers, conduct code reviews, and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
  
• Manage the technical roadmap and ensure alignment with business goals and timelines.
  
3. Solution Architecture :
   
• Design and implement application architectures that are secure, scalable, and robust.
  
• Lead the decision-making process for technical solutions, including libraries, tools, and frameworks.
  
• Ensure the proper integration of APIs, third-party services, and databases.
  
• Evaluate emerging technologies to continually improve existing systems and applications.
  
4. Project Management :
   
• Collaborate with project managers, product owners, and business analysts to gather and define technical requirements.
  
• Estimate project timelines and resource needs, ensuring on-time delivery of technical solutions.
  
• Monitor the progress of projects and address any roadblocks to ensure smooth execution.
  
• Document technical requirements, specifications, and solutions for both internal and external stakeholders.
  
5. Collaboration & Communication :
   
• Work closely with UI/UX teams to translate designs into responsive, high-quality front-end code.
  
• Collaborate with DevOps to set up and maintain CI/CD pipelines for continuous integration and deployment.
  
• Communicate complex technical solutions to non-technical stakeholders in clear and concise terms.
  
• Promote collaboration across cross-functional teams, including QA, design, and business teams.
  

Requirements

Required Qualifications :

• Education : Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  
• Experience :
  
• 5+ years of experience in full-stack development using JavaScript technologies.
  
• Proven experience leading and managing a team of developers.
  
• Strong expertise in either the MEAN stack (MongoDB, Express.js, Angular, Node.js) or MERN stack (MongoDB, Express.js, React, Node.js).
  
• Technical Skills :
  
• Expertise in Node.js for server-side development.
  
• Strong proficiency in front-end frameworks such as React (for MERN) or Angular (for MEAN).
  
• Experience working with MongoDB and understanding of NoSQL database concepts.
  
• In-depth knowledge of Express.js and building RESTful APIs.
  
• Experience with state management libraries (Redux, MobX) and front-end build tools (Webpack, Babel).
  
• Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure.
  
• Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipeline setup.
  
• Strong experience with version control (Git) and collaboration tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence).

Preferred Qualifications :

• Experience with testing frameworks (Jest, Mocha, Cypress) and end-to-end testing.
  
• Knowledge of containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes) technologies.
