The EPR Compliance Manager will be responsible for ensuring the companyadherence to Extended ProducerResponsibility (EPR) regulations in plastic waste management. This roleinvolves planning, implementing, and monitoring EPR strategies, working closelywith government bodies, waste management partners, and internal teams to ensurecompliance and sustainability. The EPR Compliance Manager will handlereporting, data management, and strategic implementation, using regulatoryknowledge to drive the companyenvironmental initiatives.
Responsibilities:
EPR Strategy Development: Develop and implement strategies for compliancewith national and state-level EPR regulations related to plastic wastemanagement.
Regulatory Compliance: Ensure the company complies with all applicablelegal requirements, including filing returns, paying fees, and meetinggovernment-mandated targets.
Collaboration with Stakeholders: Build strong relationships with government bodies,industry associations, and third-party recyclers to stay informed on regulatoryupdates and industry best practices.
Data Management: Track and monitor waste management data, ensuring that recycling anddisposal targets are met and accurately reported.
Reporting: Prepareand submit accurate and timely reports to regulatory authorities such as CPCB,SPCBs, and others, detailing compliance progress and performance.
Vendor and Partner Relations: Coordinate with Producer ResponsibilityOrganizations (PROs), recyclers, and waste management vendors to ensureeffective waste management practices.
Employee Awareness: Educate and train employees on EPR policies,procedures, and their role in meeting regulatory requirements.
Inventory Management: Oversee plastic waste collection, sorting, andrecycling operations, ensuring accurate tracking and reporting of waste volumesand recycled materials.
Internal Audits: Conduct internal audits to ensure the accuracy of data and compliancewith regulations, identifying areas for improvement and implementing correctiveactions.
Policy Advocacy: Represent the company in consultations and discussions with regulatorsor industry bodies to advocate for the companyinterests in regulatorymatters.
Skills Required:
Proficiency in EPR regulations and plastic waste management rules.
