Indirect Tax Associate ( Chartered Accountant )

Role & responsibilities:

We are seeking a fully qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) with over 3 years of post-qualification experience specializing in indirect taxes.

Key Responsibilities:

• GST Compliance Management: Oversee and ensure accurate and timely GST compliance, including the preparation, filing, and reconciliation of GST returns.
• Indirect Taxation: Manage all aspects of indirect taxation, including GST, Custom Duty, ensuring adherence to applicable laws and regulations.
• GST Litigation: Handle GST-related disputes and litigation, providing expert guidance and representation during legal proceedings.
• Custom Duty Management: Oversee the application and compliance of customs duties, including import and export regulations and tariff classifications.
• Income Tax Oversight: Supervise income tax compliance and reporting, including the preparation of tax returns and liaising with tax authorities.
• Foreign Trade Laws: Ensure compliance with foreign trade laws and regulations, including import/export documentation and adherence to international trade agreements.
• Tax Strategy and Advisory: Provide strategic tax planning and advisory services to optimize tax positions and manage risk across various tax domains.
• Regulatory Updates and Training: Stay informed of changes in tax laws and regulations, and provide training and guidance to team members and stakeholders on compliance matters.

Preferred candidate profile:

• Proven experience in managing indirect tax compliances,
• Strong understanding of customs duties, income tax regulations, and foreign trade laws.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a track record of managing complex tax issues.
• Effective communication skills for interacting with regulatory authorities and providing clear advice to stakeholders.
