Project Manager - Delivery Ops

We are seeking an experienced Program Manager to lead and oversee large-scale data engineering projects. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in project management, data engineering principles, and cross-functional collaboration. They will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and delivering data engineering initiatives that meet business objectives within defined timelines and budgets.

Roles and Responsibility:

Define the project scope, objectives, and deliverables in alignment with organizational goals.
Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation.
Manage program budgets, risks, and dependencies while ensuring the timely delivery of results.
Monitor and report on project progress, providing clear updates to stakeholders and leadership.
Collaborate with business leaders to gather and document project requirements.
Act as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, ensuring their expectations are met or exceeded.
Facilitate communication between technical teams, business users, and external vendors.
Lead cross-functional teams of data engineers, analysts, architects, and DevOps professionals.
Foster collaboration and remove roadblocks to enable teams to achieve project goals.
Conduct regular team meetings, retrospectives, and performance reviews.
Work closely with data engineering teams to ensure proper architecture, tools, and technologies are used.
Implement best practices for project governance and quality assurance.
Define KPIs and success metrics to evaluate program outcomes.

Qualifications:

Bachelor s or Master s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related field.
3+ years of experience in project or program management, with at least 2 years managing data engineering or data analytics projects.
Proven track record of delivering large-scale data solutions (data warehouses, data lakes, streaming platforms, etc. ).
Strong understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP), data processing frameworks (Spark, Kafka), and modern database technologies (Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery).
Proficient in project management tools (JIRA, Microsoft Project, Trello, etc. ).
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
PMP, Agile, or Scrum certification.
