Data Engineer

Must have Skills & Experience Required

• Good understanding of Data modelling fundamentals and strong SQL skills
• Strong Oracle PL/SQL skills with a minimum of 4 years experience
• Knowledge of data normalisation and Oracle performance optimisation techniques
• Experience in UNIX scripting
• Good understanding of data warehousing fundamentals
• Exposure to standard ETL tools such as Informatica Power Centre
• Experience of using job scheduling tools (Control-M preferred)
• Knowledge of Devops, Configuration Management tools like SVN, CI tools like Teamcity
• Exposure to agile development methodologies like Scrum

Good to have Skills & Experience Required

• Experience in Data Virtualization tools (Denodo)
• Exposure in OBIEE reporting
• Exposure to the Finance/Mutual Fund industry would be an advantage
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong team player, Self-motivated, self-starter,
• Ability to work at a strategic and tactical level
• Ability to convey strong messages in a polite but firm manner
• Self-motivation is essential, should demonstrate commitment to high quality design and development.
