Job Description

Job Title: Brand and Communication Manager
Organization: Rama University
Location: Mandhana , Bithoor Road Kanpur
Reports to: Dean Academics and Planning .

Position Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and dynamic Brand and Communication Manager with 5-10 years of experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving brand strategy, managing communication initiatives, overseeing public relations (PR) efforts, and executing impactful marketing and advertisement campaigns. This individual will also play a key role in fostering academic collaborations and expanding the organizations networking activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Brand Strategy and Management:
    • Develop and implement the overall brand strategy to ensure brand consistency across all touchpoints.
    • Lead the creation of brand guidelines and oversee the execution of brand messaging across different platforms.
    • Conduct market research and competitive analysis to ensure the brand remains competitive and relevant.

  1. Communication & Public Relations (PR):
    • Plan and execute PR campaigns to enhance the organizations visibility and reputation in the industry.
    • Manage media relations, including pitching stories, coordinating interviews, and handling crisis communications.
    • Develop press releases, newsletters, and other communication materials to communicate with stakeholders.
    • Build and maintain relationships with key journalists, bloggers, and influencers.

  1. Marketing & Advertising:
    • Lead marketing campaigns across multiple channels, including digital, social media, print, and events.
    • Oversee the creation of advertisements and marketing collateral that aligns with the brand’s voice and vision.
    • Monitor campaign performance and provide recommendations for optimization and improvement.

  1. Academic Collaborations:
    • Cultivate and manage academic partnerships to support brand positioning and visibility in the academic community.
    • Collaborate with academic institutions on co-branded initiatives, research, and events.
    • Organize webinars, conferences, and roundtables in collaboration with academic partners to build thought leadership.

  1. Networking and Partnerships:
    • Establish and nurture relationships with key stakeholders, including industry leaders, academic partners, influencers, and corporate entities.
    • Attend networking events, conferences, and industry meetups to represent the brand and generate business opportunities.
    • Manage partnerships and sponsorships to enhance the brand’s reach and positioning.

  1. Content Creation and Management:
    • Lead the content strategy for the brand, ensuring it aligns with marketing and communication objectives.
    • Oversee the creation of content for the website, social media, blogs, press materials, and email campaigns.
    • Ensure all content is aligned with the brand’s tone, voice, and messaging.

  1. Reporting and Analytics:
    • Track and analyze the performance of communication, marketing, and PR campaigns.
    • Provide regular reports to senior management on brand performance, engagement metrics, and ROI of marketing efforts.


Qualifications:

  • Education: Post-graduate degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field.
  • Experience: 4-9 years of professional experience in brand management, communications, public relations, marketing, and advertising.
  • Skills:
    • Strong understanding of academic collaboration processes and networking strategies.
    • Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal.
    • Proven track record of managing PR campaigns and media relations.
    • Expertise in digital marketing, social media, and content creation.
    • Proficiency in tools such as MS Office, Google Analytics, and CRM platforms.
    • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
    • Strong leadership and team management skills.
