Job Title: Senior Systems Engineer I

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Senior DevOps Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing the infrastructure and tools required to support our continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines, as well as ensuring the reliability, scalability, and security of our cloud environments. You will work closely with developers, system administrators, and other stakeholders to ensure the efficient delivery of software applications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Infrastructure Automation: Design, implement, and manage automated deployment pipelines using CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI).
• Cloud Management: Work with cloud platforms (Google Cloud) to build, manage, and scale infrastructure.
• Hand-on experience on GCP Services.
• Infrastructure automation namely GCP Cloud formation and Terraform is plus
• Configuration Management: Implement configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Puppet, Chef, Terraform) to automate provisioning and configuration of infrastructure.
• Monitoring & Alerting: Implement and manage monitoring tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, New Relic) to ensure the health and performance of the infrastructure and applications.
• Collaboration: Partner with development teams to improve software development lifecycle processes and address bottlenecks, while fostering a culture of automation, testing, and security.
• Continuous Improvement: Constantly evaluate tools, technologies, and processes to improve efficiency, scalability, and reliability of applications and infrastructure.
• Incident Management: Respond to and troubleshoot production issues in collaboration with the engineering team to ensure uptime and reliability.
• Security: Ensure secure DevOps practices across all stages of the development lifecycle, including managing secrets, access control, vulnerability scanning, and more.

Requirements:

Technical Skills:

• Cloud Platforms: Strong experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Experience with Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar tools to define infrastructure.
• Containers & Orchestration: Deep knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, and container orchestration platforms.
• CI/CD: Expertise with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or CircleCI to enable continuous delivery pipelines.
• Scripting: Proficiency in scripting languages such as Bash, Python, or Ruby.
• Version Control: Experience with Git and Git-based workflows.
• Monitoring and Logging: Familiarity with tools like Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana), or Splunk for monitoring and alerting.
• Networking & Security: Knowledge of networking concepts, VPNs, firewalls, IAM, and security best practices.
• Databases: Understanding of database technologies (SQL, NoSQL) and their integration into DevOps pipelines.

Experience:

• 5+ years of experience in a DevOps or Systems Engineer role.
• Proven experience working with cloud platforms (GCP,).
• Strong knowledge of CI/CD tools, infrastructure automation, and monitoring systems.
• Experience working in Agile environments and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
• Expertise in designing, optimizing and automating workflows for development and deployment.
