Job Description

Assists in thedevelopment and implementation of business strategies for the hotel which arealigned with RHGs overall mission, vision values and strategies
Participates in the development of the hotel sbusiness strategies
Develops andimplements strategies for Food and Beverage operations, marketing and salesthat support achievement of the hotel s goals
Monitors statusregularly and adjusts strategies as appropriate
Assists with the development of the annualbudget in conjunction with the Executive Committee, implements the approvedbudget; monitors revenues and costs on a daily basis, taking corrective actionwhen necessary
Achieves revenuegoals by assisting in the development and management of the food & beveragemarketing, sales and product strategies
Analyzes salesand competition on a regular basis and develops strategies to increase marketshare
Assists withthe development and implementation of the food and beverage marketing and salesplan
Assists with the development andimplementation of the menu offerings and pricing based on competition, markettrends, costs, etc.
Takes monthlyinventories for supplies and maintains optimum stock levels to meet customerdemand, detect waste and avoid excess expense for optimal profit withoutadversely affecting hotel performance.
Establish matrices andsystems to ensure smooth functioning hotel outlets.
Adheres to Carlson smarketing and sales standards
Works with restaurantstaff to achieve daily, weekly, or monthly revenue goals.
Maximizesprofitability by managing Food & Beverage operations
Analyzes businessresults on a regular basis and takes actions to improve results as appropriate
Ensures that there issmooth coordination between the kitchen staff/stewards and the front-houseserving staff
Plans new and popularmenus and monitors to ensure top-notch quality and prompt service
Leverages system-wideexpertise and resources where possible in order to incorporate best practicesand deliver services on a cost effective basis
Determines appropriatestaffing levels for forecasted business and schedules employees accordingly
Evaluates food &beverage service quality and service levels regularly and implements strategiesto improve areas of concern
Sets objectives foreach specified team within food and beverage and supervises the departmentmanagers
Ensures departmentadheres to Carlson, hotel, local and state health, hygiene and safety policies
Develops andimplements strategies and practices which support employee engagement
Recruits and selectsqualified candidates
Provides employeeswith the orientation and training needed to understand expectations and performjob responsibilities
Communicatesperformance expectations and provides employees with on-going feedback
Provides employeeswith coaching and counselling as needed to achieve performance objectives andreach their fullest potential
Creates 100%guest satisfaction by providing the Yes I Can! experience through performancethat demonstrates the standards of, genuine hospitality and exceeding guestexpectations
Gives personalattention, takes personal responsibility and uses teamwork when providing guestservice
Listens, apologizeswith empathy, finds a solution and follows through when resolving guestproblems
Provides Yes, I Can!genuine hospitality and teamwork on an ongoing basis
Assumes theresponsibility to notice when the guest is not satisfied and uses their bestjudgment as to when it is appropriate to use the 100% Guest Satisfaction
Performs other dutiesrequired to provide the service brand behavior and genuine hospitality
Adheres to hotelpolicies and procedures
Performs allduties and responsibilities in a timely and efficient manner in accordance withestablished company policies and procedures to achieve the overall objective ofthis position
