Job Description

R&D Staff Engineer SW Quality: Demonstrate Strong technical Knowledge for testing & validating complex issues for SAN switches which use Fiber Channel (FCP/FICON) and IP protocols for transport.

Primary responsibility includes:

Review the functional specs, test specs created by Cross-site Dev & Test team to understand the product/feature functionality
Review User Documentation to ensure all the features/product functionality and Known issues are documented
Creation and review of test strategies, test designs, Test cases, and Test Automation Suites
Mentor the junior test engineers and provide technical guidance to them to build a high performing team
Establish cross-functional relationships to improve the testability of products
Interactions with customers for demos, test qualifications, and feedback sessions

Requirements (Must Have):

Bachelor of Engineering with a minimum of 10 years of hands-on test experience
Strong knowledge of various types of testing, such as functional, negative, boundary, performance, scale, longevity testing, etc
SAN/Storage knowledge
System testing in Linux/Open source environment
Test automation experience using Python
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple, parallel tasks and projects
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
