Lead Software Engineer(FullStack)

Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Software Engineer to lead a . NET data migration project , transitioning applications from . NET Framework 4. 8 to . NET Core 8. 0. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in . NET Core, WPF(Windows Presentation Foundation) and WCF (Windows Communication Foundation), with a proven record of managing and delivering complex migration projects. This role involves design, development, testing and deployment, ensuring seamless functionality and optimal performance post-migration.

Key Responsibilities :

• Lead the migration of legacy applications and components from . NET Framework 4. 8 to . NET Core 8. 0.
• Redesign and optimize the existing applications from . NET Core compatibility, ensuring performance and usability.
• Modernize and migrate WCF services to compatible framework or alternatives such as gRPC .
• Analyze existing code base and dependencies, resolve compatibility issues, and implement modern standards and best practices.
• Define and implement a clear data migration strategy, ensuring data consistency, security, and integrity throughout the process.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management, QA, and DevOps, to ensure smooth development and deployment.
• Perform code reviews, testing, and debugging to ensure the quality and reliability of the migrated applications.
• Document system architecture, migration steps, and technical processes to assist team members and stakeholders.
• Mentor junior team members and provide technical guidance.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 8+ years of experience in . NET Framework and . NET Core development.
• Expertise in migrating . NET Framework applications to . NET Core .
• Strong experience with WPF application development and modernization.
• Solid understanding of WCF services and migration to alternative communication protocols like gRPC or REST APIs.
• Proficiency in C#, Entity Framework Core, and LINQ .
• Should have good exposure to MVVM and PRISM framework
• Familiarity with design patterns, SOLID principles, and best practices in software architecture
• Expertise in data migration and integration (SQL Server or equivalent).
• Strong debugging, profiling, and performance optimization skills.
• Knowledge of DevOps tools and CI/CD pipelines for automated deployments.
• Excellent communication, problem solving and teamwork skills.
