Job Description

Job Title: Senior Software Engineer HeatX (VB. Net C#. Net SQL)

Location: Bangalore, Hybrid Model (3 days working from Office)

Job Summary: Our customer is a leading global provider of equipment, systems, digital solutions, and value-added services in Locomotive domain. We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join the Engineering team and build the next generation of platform. The ideal candidate is a hands-on platform builder with significant experience in developing software solutions. This individual is responsible for verifying and developing the heat transfer equations and calculations for the heat exchanger in Heat X Toolbox. He / She must have strong, firsthand technical expertise in software development in . Net programming languages and MS SQL Server technologies and has proven ability to develop robust scalable solutions that can manage enterprise level systems. He / She must be at ease working in an agile environment with little supervision. He / She should embody a passion for continuous improvement and test-driven development.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES:

Participate in requirements, design and functional specification reviews at varying levels within the system
Analyze, design and develop software or software components
Manage a team to deliver products by proper task allocation, scope and timelines.
Ability to conduct technical reviews and provide reasonable estimates.
Practice software development methodology in an agile environment
Validate existing equations in new versions against previous versions and existing test data.
Develop new geometry and heat transfer calculations for new product designs.
Involve in reviewing C#/. net code to check for errors in calculations.
Provide ongoing maintenance, support and enhancements in existing systems and platforms
Working closely with the internal and external design/development teams in identifying problems
Collaborate cross-functionally with business users, project managers and other engineers
Provide recommendations for continuous improvement

Work Experience

QUALIFICATION: Bachelors degree in Mechanical or Computer Engineering

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

4-5 years of experience in software engineering & development
Proficient in programming in VB. NET, C#. NET, T-SQL
Solid work experience with SDL, software change management, continuous integration and automated build processes
Heat transfer with specific focus on heat exchangers (dual stream, shell & tube, etc. ).
Programming experience is ideal especially with . net languages.
Apply calculation methods as described in the literature
Hands on experience testing/debugging software and providing solutions
Experience in below mention languages and Frameworks.
- VB. Net
- C#. Net
- MS SQLServer
- JavaScript and any framework.
- Network programming
- HTML 4 & 5
- CSS
Effective oral and written communication skills; ability to articulate clearly and concisely
Self-driven, quick learner, results-oriented and a clear focus on high quality
Must be a good team player

GOOD TO HAVE

Experience with aluminum bar and plate heat exchangers is a plus.
Proficient with Agile development methodologies such as Scrum
Experience in below mention languages and Frameworks.
- ASP
- MVC framework
Knowledge on Railroad or Transportation domain
Experience in Finite Element analysis calculations
