Job Description
he Document Controller is responsible for accurate management and safeguarding of documentation generated by the project team, contractors and suppliers regularly. Support the day-to-day operation of the project and in a manner that will enable all relevant parties to quickly retrieve required documents. This includes, but is not limited to, operating procedures, manuals, engineering/technical documents reports, correspondence and project management files.
Key Responsibilities:
- Controlling of all documentation related activities like revision control, permissions, etc. in the document management system
- Manage, store and retrieve all types of engineering technical documents drawings as needed
- Interface with multiple disciplines to provide support and clear guidance to deliver documentations align to all Information Management Specifications.
- Maintain publish weekly report for deliverables, pending and delay document report, manual log Reports, On time deliverables reports, etc.
- Control all aspects of project documentation on multiple simultaneous projects, utilizing various control methods/systems (Workflow methods)
- Performs quality standard check on documents by following document control processes.
- Maintain and update Project Document Control Index, controls the revisions.
- Manage lifecycle of documentation and ensure alignment to processes and procedures.
- Perform standard quality checks and ensure appropriate approvals are obtained prior to publishing documentation.
- Accountable for the close out of IM, DC MoC pre/post implication actions
Work Experience
- A graduate engineer with 8 years+ relevant experience in technical roles and minimum 5+ years of experience in documenta controller role with good understanding of documentation lifecycle
- Sound technical knowledge and experience of Document Management Systems
- Ability to provide Document Management administration for multiple cross-functional users.
- Practical / hands-on experience in document management roles in EPC projects of Minimum 5 years, experienced with document control using digital tools, maintenance of electronic and physical documents
- Should be proficient with using various MS Suite tools and other tools such as FTP, Shared Drives, SharePoint, Cloud Drives, etc.
- Basic understanding of Engineering / Procurement / Construction / Commissioning documents
- Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to interact effectively with people at all levels in the field and office as well as outside of the company
