Senior DevOps Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior DevOps Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will design, build, and manage robust infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines, automate workflows, and drive the adoption of best practices for efficient development and deployment. You will work closely with software engineering teams to ensure high availability, security, and scalability of services and applications. This role is ideal for someone with a passion for automation, infrastructure as code, and continuous improvement.

• Infrastructure Management : Design, deploy, and manage scalable, secure, and highly available cloud infrastructure on platforms such as AWS , Azure , or GCP .
• CI/CD Pipeline Implementation : Build, maintain, and optimize CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins , GitHub Actions , GitLab CI/CD , or Azure DevOps to support rapid and reliable deployment cycles.
• Automation & Scripting : Automate operational tasks and infrastructure provisioning with scripting languages (e. g. , Python , Bash ) and configuration management tools (e. g. , Ansible , Chef , Puppet ).
• Containerization & Orchestration : Manage containerized applications using Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes or ECS/EKS to enable microservices and container-based infrastructure.
• Infrastructure as Code (IaC) : Use Terraform , CloudFormation , or ARM templates to manage infrastructure as code, ensuring consistency and scalability across environments.
• Monitoring & Logging : Set up and manage monitoring, logging, and alerting systems (e. g. , Prometheus , Grafana , ELK Stack , Datadog , or New Relic ) to track infrastructure health, performance, and security.
• Security & Compliance : Implement security best practices, including IAM, network security, data encryption, and compliance monitoring, to safeguard cloud and on-premises environments.
• Disaster Recovery & High Availability : Design and implement backup and recovery strategies, failover processes, and high availability configurations to ensure system resilience.
• Collaboration : Work closely with development and operations teams to understand requirements, troubleshoot issues, and optimize performance.
• Cost Optimization : Continuously evaluate and optimize cloud resources to manage costs effectively.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in DevOps, cloud engineering, or related fields, with a proven track record in deploying and managing large-scale infrastructure.
• Proficiency with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and associated services.
• Extensive experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins , GitHub Actions , GitLab CI/CD , or Azure DevOps .
• Strong scripting skills in Python , Bash , or similar languages for automation.
• Expertise with containerization tools like Docker and orchestration platforms like Kubernetes .
• Proficient in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation .
• Strong knowledge of monitoring and logging tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, Datadog) for infrastructure observability.
• Experience implementing security best practices in cloud environments, including IAM, encryption, and compliance.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues across infrastructure, applications, and networks.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills for cross-functional teamwork.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with hybrid cloud or multi-cloud environments.
• Familiarity with GitOps practices and tools like Argo CD or Flux .
• Knowledge of Service Mesh architectures (e. g. , Istio , Linkerd ).
• Familiarity with database management (RDS, DynamoDB, PostgreSQL) and caching strategies.
• Understanding of serverless computing and event-driven architectures.
