Senior Java Fullstack Developer

Role & responsibilities

• Develop key product features within existing large-scale enterprise applications. Participate in the full SDLC involving design, implementation, testing, & launching.
• Own the delivery of an entire piece of an application. Regularly reads framework source code to understand how certain feature works and how to extend it (this includes debugging framework at source code level).
• Demonstrate strong development and communication skills (this includes documentation) in an enterprise environment, where multiple teams interact and ask questions, and, troubleshoot at different levels of application stack.
• Demonstrate thoroughness in considering important details and edge cases with design and unit testing. Demonstrate strong coding skills (includes reading others code), following best practice of writing clean code and refactoring, keeping up with new and relevant programming features.
• Demonstrate a willingness to take initiative in finding the answer and solution (digging into the system”), to identify and follow design and code pattern well-established in framework (“using and extending the framework as it is designed for”).
• Generate data for project planning, including task breakdown & estimation of work for a project. Competent in developing accurate estimates & risk assessments. Track status within the project as necessary. Communicate team and project status to project manager and director.

Preferred candidate profile

• Minimum 6 years professional experience in Java programming language and full-stack experience with Spring MVC and Spring Boot to build WebApps and REST APIs.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in front-end technologies Javascript, JQuery, CSS, HTML5, Bootstrap.
• Working experience reading framework code written by others, debug and extend it.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in enterprise environments where multiple systems integrate in multiple environments, at different stages of SDLC.
• Strong problem solving skills at different layers of web applications and runtime environment, using a variety of tools and techniques.
• Working experience with Agile development methodology.
• Working experience on Linux OS, SQL DB such as Oracle, Git, IDE (Eclipse), Application server such as Tomcat.
• Communicate clearly and concisely how systems integrate with each other, providing documentation as necessary, adjusting to different audience (developers and non-technical stakeholders).
