Key Responsibilities:
Overview:
The Head of Operations Projects (Civil and Carpentry) will oversee the operational aspects of
these key areas within Quarry Projects. This leader will manage a team of professionals
responsible for delivering high-quality, custom home décor solutions, focusing on civil and
carpentry work. The role involves overseeing the complete project lifecycle, ensuring timely
delivery, maintaining high standards of craftsmanship, and driving profitability. The Head of
Operations will also be responsible for managing P&L, ensuring excellent client management.
Reports to: Management
Operations Management:
• Oversee all aspects of Projects vertical including but not limited to civil and carpentry
operations, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the
highest standards of quality.
• Develop and implement operational processes and workflows that optimize efficiency
and ensure the successful delivery of all these projects.
• Manage procurement of materials, inventory control, and vendor relationships for
carpentry and civil work to ensure quality and cost-effectiveness.
Team Leadership:
• Lead, mentor, and manage the civil and carpentry teams, fostering a high-performance
culture.
• Provide direction and oversight to ensure all team members understand their roles,
responsibilities, and performance expectations.
• Ensure the team is properly trained, equipped, and motivated to meet the companys
high standards of craftsmanship and customer service.
P&L Accountability:
• Own the Profit and Loss (P&L) for the civil and carpentry operations, ensuring financial
performance aligns with company goals.
• Monitor operational costs and implement strategies to optimize profitability while
maintaining product and service quality.
• Work closely with the finance team to prepare budgets, forecasts, and financial reports.
Client Management:
• Serve as the key point of contact for clients during the project lifecycle, ensuring that
their expectations are managed and met.
• Collaborate closely with the sales and design teams to align operational efforts with
client requirements and sales goals.
• Ensure all client queries, concerns, and feedback are addressed promptly, and that client
satisfaction is consistently achieved.
Project Delivery:
• Oversee the end-to-end project management across all projects, from initial planning
through to execution and completion.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring deadlines, budgets, and quality
standards are met.
• Ensure that safety protocols and industry standards are strictly followed on all job sites.
Vendor and Supplier Management:
• Build and maintain strong relationships with external contractors, carpenters, architects,
and other stakeholders.
• Negotiate with suppliers and contractors to ensure the best pricing and quality for
materials and services.
Process Improvement:
• Continuously assess and improve operational processes to enhance efficiency, reduce
costs, and increase customer satisfaction.
• Implement new technologies and tools where appropriate to streamline operations and
improve project management capabilities.
Reporting and Communication:
• Provide regular updates to the Founder on operational performance, project status,
financial outcomes, and team progress.
• Prepare detailed reports on P&L, project timelines, and team performance.
• Ensure effective communication across departments to facilitate collaboration and
alignment of goals.
Who qualifies?
Education:
• Bachelors degree in business, operations, or a related field. An MBA or similar advanced
degree is preferred.
Experience:
● Proven 10 plus experience as Head of Operations or in a senior executive role in operations
management, with a focus on civil and carpentry projects.
● Experience in managing high-end or luxury construction and carpentry projects is highly
preferred.
● Experience in managing complex custom projects with high client involvement.
● Proven track record of managing P&L, delivering complex projects, and leading diverse
teams.
Skills:
• Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop
high-performing teams.
• Excellent project management capabilities, with experience managing multiple projects
simultaneously along with managing complex custom projects with high client
involvement.
• Financial acumen, with experience overseeing budgets, forecasting, and managing P&L.
• Excellent communication and client management skills, with the ability to interact
effectively with high-end clients.
• Deep understanding of civil and carpentry operations, including materials, craftsmanship,
and industry standards.
• Problem-solving and analytical skills, with a focus on improving operational efficiency and
cost control.
