We are seeking a skilled and dedicated SharePoint Expert to join our clients team. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive support and
troubleshooting for SharePoint and Microsoft 365 (M365) platforms,assisting end-users with common issues, guiding them through platform
functionalities, and ensuring seamless integration with other tools and services. This role involves advanced administration, custom
development, and maintenance tasks within both SharePoint On-Premises (SP16) and SharePoint Online (SPO) environments.
Roles and Responsibilities:
End-User Support:
- Provide support to end-users, assisting with common SharePoint and M365 issues.
- Address user inquiries and troubleshoot basic problems related to these platforms.
- Setting permissions
- Uploading content
- Restoring old versions
- Restoring deleted content from Recycle Bin
- Restoring deleted SharePoint Sites/M365 Groups/Teams
- Help users with access-related issues, such as password resets and account unlocking.
- Assist in granting basic permissions and access rights to SharePoint sites and M365 resources.
- Updating user profile information
- Resolving OneDrive sync issues
- Teams: inviting users/creating channels, etc.
- Yammer/Viva Engage: advising users on how to use/adding users to communities/creating communities.
- KMS/Dynamics: adding users to permissions groups.
- PowerApps: adding users to Desk Bookings and other apps.
- Guide users in navigating SharePoint, M365 applications, and tools,helping them locate and use features and resources.
- Conduct basic user training sessions or provide resources to help users better understand SharePoint and M365 applications.
- Create and maintain basic user guides and documentation for common tasks and issues.
- Communicate known issues, outages, and scheduled maintenance to users and update them on issue resolutions.
Advanced Administration and Maintenance:
- Manage advanced permissions and access control.
- Recover lost or deleted data, documents, or configurations within SharePoint and M365 as needed.
- Help users integrate SharePoint and M365 applications with other tools and services, ensuring smooth operations.
- Contribute to the creation and maintenance of an extensive knowledge base and documentation for common and advanced issues.
SharePoint Online (SPO) Management:
- Manage and create SharePoint sites/pages/repositories.
- Deploy features, custom web parts, and solutions.
- Create simple workflows with Power Automate.
- Advise stakeholders on best options when creating sites.
- Perform all admin tasks in the SPO Admin Centre.
- Run migrations from SP16 to SPO.
- Advise users on how to manage sites/upload content/create pages/use web parts/invite external users.
- Resolve access issues, liaising with international offices.
- Manage JML tasks (accounts/permissions).
- Reporting and running PowerShell scripts.
- Log and collaborate on Microsoft support calls.
- Assist users in creating and maintaining MS Forms.
- Maintain existing PowerApps/Power Automate solutions and publish simple edits.
- Provide advice and guidance on best practices for other M365 tools,assisting in their creation and maintenance.
- Perform all admin tasks in the M365 admin portal.
- Handle any other tasks which the individual performing the relevant Services Role performed in the twelve months preceding the Service Commencement Date.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a SharePoint Expert or similar role.
- In-depth knowledge of SharePoint On-Premises (SP16) and SharePoint Online (SPO).
- Proficiency in M365 administration and support.
- Strong understanding of PowerApps, Power Automate, and related M365 tools.
- Experience with SharePoint Designer workflows, InfoPath Forms, and custom development (JavaScript, HTML, CSS).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
- Strong communication and user support skills.
- Ability to conduct training sessions and create user guides.
- Proficiency in running PowerShell scripts and performing advanced administrative tasks.
