As a Student Admission Manager, this is what you ll be doing:

The candidate will deliver recruitment, conversion, marketing, and sales activity across designated markets in the India & SA region. This role will be representing KGI and will be expected to travel across key markets to deliver recruitment events and engage with agents, schools, other stakeholders, etc. The role will also work to develop and implement strategies to increase international student recruitment and KGI s brand awareness across India & South Asia. The post-holder will be required to travel extensively, often for long periods of time including weekends and bank holidays. The post-holder must be able to operate effectively and autonomously under these circumstances.

Role responsibilities

  • Serve as the KGI representative for international student enrolment in the region, with awareness of opportunities and potential challenges/threats within the region
  • Establish a network of relationships to effectively support and maximize regional recruitment to meet KGI international student enrolment goals
  • Increase leads and international student applications through the development of proactive recruitment activities and engagement, including information sessions, webinars, and yield events.
  • Responsible for meeting application and enrollment goals for assigned program.
  • Effectively manage all event logistics, communications, and supporting partners / vendors relationships, in collaboration with KGI team
  • Ensure that all regional recruitment activities are aligned with the best practices in enrolment management and recruitment of QS & KGI
  • Regular communication with KGI team to ensure activities are aligned with institutional and enrolment goals
  • Report regularly on outcomes of all activities related to the role and responsibilities, including relevant metrics and accurate data
  • The candidate may perform other related duties as assigned.
  • The position is preferable to be based in Bangalore, India and requires significant travel throughout the country. There will be requirements to travel to other neighboring within the region occasionally, depending on the university needs and market movement.

The candidate will engage in the following job relevant responsibilities including:

  • Recruitment: hosting and attending recruitment events, communicating with prospective students, providing academic program information Partner Management: working with authorized in-region recruitment partners, providing support and training to enable partners to recruit international students to KGI, while ensuring the quality and credibility of application is met.
  • Application support: providing information to prospective students on the application process, including application deadlines, application requirements, procedures for submission etc.
  • Alumni engagement: hosting alumni events to engage alumni
  • Data collection: the candidate will be expected to document all leads and related activities in a consistent manner as required
  • Reports demonstrating regular, timely and consistent outreach and communication with prospective students, as well as activities and events
  • Achieve application & enrollment goals set for assigned program

Key skills and experience:

Essential Criteria

  • A reasonable level of relevant experience in the higher education industry or educational agencies in the India & South Asia Region.
  • Proficiency in both written and spoken English to communicate effectively with global
    teams
  • Ability to travel across India & international whenever required
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to collaborate with stakeholders at all levels globally.
  • High level of enthusiasm, personal commitment, and independence to undertake lengthy periods of travel without supervision
  • Problem solving and organizational skills to deal with complex and difficult situations autonomously as they arise
  • A high level of literacy and attention to detail to produce clear, concise reports and strategies
  • High level of numeracy and prior experience of managing budgets and analyzing basic statistical information
  • Experience of international conversion activity.
  • Experience working with international students and higher education programmes.
  • Experience selling a complex and diversified education product portfolio.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrable ability to meet enrolment targets.

Highly Desirable Criteria

  • Experience working with domestic universities, secondary schools, English language schools and other preparatory entities.
  • Proficiency in local languages is a plus, but not a requirement.
  • Experience collaborating interdepartmentally and/or externally.
  • Database management experience.
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel and Microsoft office.
  • Experience liaising with a geographically and culturally diverse team.
  • An awareness of issues in marketing educational services in an international context.
  • Sensitive to intellectual property and data protection.
  • Background of Science, Applied Health and Biotechnology will be a bonus
