Job Description:
Key Responsibilities:
- Business Development Strategy & Planning: Develop and execute comprehensive business development strategies to drive growth, focusing on IT/ITES solutions like digital transformation, cloud computing, data analytics, and regulatory compliance.
- Identify new business opportunities in diverse sectors, establishing relationships with key stakeholders, decision-makers, and influencers.
- Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify industry trends, gaps, and opportunities.
- Set and achieve revenue and business development targets aligned with the organization's growth goals.
- Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with senior leaders and executives across organizations.
- Understand client needs and pain points, proposing innovative IT solutions that create value in functions such as R&D, manufacturing, supply chain, regulatory affairs, and customer service.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the sales cycle, from initial engagement to post-sales implementation.
- Coordinate with delivery and technical teams to ensure seamless client onboarding and solution implementation.
- Lead Generation & Sales Execution: Identify high-potential prospects and generate qualified leads across sectors.
- Develop and present customized proposals and presentations to showcase the company's capabilities in addressing client IT needs.
- Negotiate contracts and pricing models, focusing on long-term strategic partnerships and solutions delivery.
- Manage the sales pipeline from prospecting to closing, ensuring timely and successful delivery of solutions.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with solution architects, delivery managers, and technology experts to ensure solutions meet client requirements.
- Collaborate with marketing teams to develop targeted outreach materials and campaigns.
- Provide feedback and insights from the market and clients to guide product or service development.
- Industry Expertise & Thought Leadership: Maintain a deep understanding of industry trends, challenges, and regulatory changes across sectors.
- Stay informed about emerging IT technologies such as AI, cloud, and data analytics, and how they can be applied in various industries.
- Represent the organization at industry conferences, webinars, and thought leadership events to build brand awareness and generate leads.
- Revenue & Performance Metrics: Ensure achievement of sales targets, with a high conversion rate from lead generation to signed contracts.
- Monitor and report on business development performance, adjusting strategies to optimize success.
- Track KPIs, forecast revenue, and maintain CRM records to ensure accurate reporting and analytics.
Required Qualifications:
- Experience: 8 to 10 years of business development experience in the IT/ITES industry, with a proven track record of success.
- Deep understanding of IT outsourcing models, shared services, and digital transformation initiatives, particularly in sectors such as pharma.
- Proven experience in collaborating with medium and large Indian and multinational companies for large-scale IT projects or services.
- Experience engaging with C-level executives and senior management in large organizations.
Skills:
- Strong business acumen and strategic thinking, with the ability to identify new business opportunities and design tailored solutions.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to manage multiple high-value deals simultaneously and work under pressure.
- Strong understanding of industry needs and how IT solutions can address them.
- Familiarity with CRM tools and project management software.
Education: An MBA in Marketing is preferred.
