Purchase Manager

Key Responsibilities:

1. Procurement Management:

• Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers for agricultural produce and related products.
• Ensure timely procurement of goods, maintaining quality and cost-effectiveness.

2 Import-Export Operations:

• Oversee import-export documentation and compliance with international trade regulations.
• Coordinate with freight forwarders, customs agents, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth logistics.

3. Vendor and Supplier Relations:

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with domestic and international suppliers.
• Conduct regular supplier assessments to ensure adherence to quality and delivery standards.

4. Market Analysis:

• Monitor market trends and prices for agricultural produce to optimise procurement strategies.
• Stay updated on industry regulations, trade policies, and new product opportunities.

5. Inventory Management:

• Collaborate with the warehouse team to manage inventory levels effectively.
• Ensure accurate stock records and forecast procurement needs.

6. Compliance:

• Ensure compliance with food safety, quality standards, and import-export regulations.
• Maintain proper documentation for audits and certifications.

Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.

• 10-12 years of experience in procurement, with a focus on agricultural produce.
• Proven experience in handling import-export processes and documentation.
• Strong negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.
• Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Knowledge of international trade laws and regulations

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certification in Import-Export or Supply Chain Management is a plus.
• Experience working with perishable goods and their logistics.
