QA Automation Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking highly skilled Quality Engineering (QE) for our team. The candidate should have a strong background in manual and automated testing with the below criteria.

Role & responsibilities

• Ability to understand business and technical requirements
• Proficiency in creating comprehensive test plans, acceptance criteria, and test cases.
• Experience with test automation and integrating test cases into CI/CD pipelines.
• Requirement Analysis: Collaborate with stakeholders (product managers developers, and other team members) to understand business and technical requirements. Define clear acceptance criteria for all features and enhancements.
• Test Planning & Case Creation: Develop detailed test plans and strategies for manual and automated testing.
• Automation & Scripting: Create and maintain automated test scripts using Selenium, Mocha, and JavaScript.
• API Automation Testing: Conduct API testing using Postman and automated API scripts.
• Defect Triage: Track, prioritize, and triage defects in JIRA or equivalent tools.
• Collaboration & Communication: Effectively communicate test results, defects, and risks to all stakeholders. Participate and work in Agile environment.

Required Skills:

• Technical Skills: Proficiency in JavaScript, Node.js, Selenium, Mocha, Chai, Postman, and JIRA.
• Test Management: Hands-on experience with TestRail or similar tools for creating and managing test cases.
• CI/CD Expertise: Experience integrating tests into CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, GitLab, Jenkins, or CircleCI.
• Automation: Strong experience in both UI and API test automation.
• Cloud Testing: Familiarity with cloud platform like AWS.
• Problem Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify root causes and provide effective solutions.
• Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to articulate test results and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
