Senior Automation Engineer

Qualibar India Pvt Ltd is looking for a Senior Automation Engineer. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing automated testing frameworks and solutions that ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of our software applications. You will work closely with cross-functional teams including development, QA, and operations, to optimize automation processes, enhance system integration, and improve software testing efficiency. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software engineering, test automation frameworks, and problem-solving skills.

Experience: 7+ years

Work Location: Bangalore/Hyderabad/Chennai

Work Mode : Onsite - WFO - 5 days/week

Timing: 1 PM - 10 PM

Role & responsibilities

• Experience in creation of application specific test strategy and Automation test plan
• Expertise in creation / maintenance of Test Automation framework (Hybrid / TDD / BDD) from scratch
• Expertise in creation of API / UI Automated test scripts using Selenium with Java & RestAPI/SoapUI
• Exposure and experience in Katalon, Parasoft and Azure ADO are added advantage
• Hands on experience in delivery in Agile methodology (scrum, lean etc.)
• Previous Experience Managing and Leading large cross functional programs In a matrixed environment
• Experienced in creating and delivering clear and concise program level reporting to leadership and program management
• Previous experience in creating program test strategy and approach by working with stakeholders
• Ability to understand and guide the teams on Test levels and Test Types. Including but not limited to Test Automation, Performance Testing, Test Data needs
• Previous experience in coordinating and leading E2E integration testing activities
• Participate in reviews of automated and manual tests and has the drive to enhance automation coverage thereby minimizing manual testing
• Assists team members in troubleshooting the root cause of complex technical issues and implementation-related issues.
• Experience using Test management Tools (like, JIRA, HP ALM, Rally or ADO) for end to end test management
• Experience setting up and executing tests through CI/CD pipelines, added advantage if they know Azure DevOps
• Expertise in DB testing
• Experience in identifying, deriving and reporting value delivered by automation
• Strong analytical, problem-solving & Reporting skills
• Strong stakeholder management and problem solving skills
• Expert in using code repository tools like GitHub or GitLab. Should be able to review & approve peer's code
• Should be able to assist and train junior automation testers

Preferred candidate profile

• Candidate should have hands on experience in creation of API / UI Automated test scripts using Selenium with Java & RestAPI/SoapUI.
• Candidate should have hands on experience in writing and maintaining SQL Queries.
