Job Description System Administrator
JOB SUMMARY:
The selected candidate will be a part of the Sysadmin team and will be responsible for regularly providing first-level technical support and guidance to users in India and PubMatic Global offices.
SYSTEM ADMINISTRATOR (Pune) - WOULD BE RESPONSIBLE FOR:
1. Must have basic knowledge of Microsoft Azure and Office 365
2. Install/configure software, Antivirus, and hardware
3. Laptop preparation for end users
4. Should have hands on different operating systems like Windows, Linux and Mac
5. Expertise in administering Linux servers in a virtualized environment (KVM)
6. Antivirus server administration skills
7. Knowledge of MDM solutions such as Kandji, JAMF, Intune, and Kaseya.
8. Troubleshoot hardware and connectivity issues on environments running various Operating Systems such as Windows, Linux, VMware, ESX, etc
9. General knowledge of Networking concepts and basic Storage concepts like RAID, SAN, NAS, iSCSI protocol
10. Should have a good analytical/logical approach on troubleshooting for
11. Resolving hardware issues.
12. Knowledge of different operating system log files supported on servers Windows, Linux, VMware
13. Mandatory to have experience on physical servers.
14. Basic Shell/Windows PowerShell scripting knowledge
15. Should have hands-on experience with video conferencing devices and managing organizational events.
16. Troubleshoot issues and outages
17. Good in interfacing with the remote teams in an effective manner
18. Ensure security through access controls, backups and firewalls
19. Perform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all resources of global users.
20. Coordinate with different vendors regarding any Service/support for internal IT
21. Willing to work in 24 * 7 work environment
22. Strong communication skills (verbal and written communication skills in English).
23. High-level problem-solving skills.
24. Must have worked on ticketing tool
Skills / Expertise: -
1. Ability to exercise judgment within procedures and practices to determine appropriate action.
2. Sense of urgency and ability to manage and prioritize multiple work requirements to meet deadlines.
3. Must be self-managed, responsive, and dedicated to customer support.
4. Ability to work independently and in a team environment
Work Experience: 3-5 years of experience in System Admin
Education:
MCA/B.E./Graduate in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline; professional certifications such as Microsoft, AWS, or Red Hat are a plus
