Insurity s Next System Administrator
A system administration role involves managing and maintaining our systems, networks, and servers. System administrators ensure the reliability, security, and performance of the infrastructure in our clouds 24/7. What Our System Administrator Will Do
Setup and performance tune server and network tier within the Insurity public and private cloud environment.
Recommend and contribute changes in host and guest system configuration to obtain optimum system performance and high availability of Insurity developed applications.
Work with senior management to diagnose system & performance problems leveraging application traces and available diagnostic tools.
Assist senior engineers to monitor, measure, performance tune, and capacity plan for the Insurity private cloud environment.
Identify and recommend solutions to eliminate single points of failure.
Manage individual projects as well as participate in private cloud wide initiatives.
Assist in managing individual projects including private cloud initiatives.
Support Lead Engineers with customer support and on-boarding initiatives.
Assimilate new technologies and applications into existing processes such that it can be supported across the team
Support initiatives to migrate customers to Insurity s Public or Private cloud environments
Work with internal and external teams to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues.
Participate in rotating team on-call support for hosted and non-hosted customers.
Provide mentorship to team members
Stay up to date on industry and job-related trends and best practices, including reading relevant publications, articles, blogs, etc.

Who We re Looking For
Expert Level Microsoft Windows and SQL Server Experience
Proficient with MS Office Suite
Proficient with Linux systems
Expert with Project Management tool set (MS Project, Excel)
Strong experience with Cloud-based technology and infrastructure
Strong ability to create scripts in Powershell and incorporate them into daily automation tasks
2+ years of PowerShell or Python

Public Cloud Experience (AWS, Azure)
Private Cloud experience
Intermediate knowledge of Linux & Microsoft Windows server 2008+ and technologies (WSUS, SMTP, SFTP) for debugging, setup, and administration.
Intermediate knowledge of VMWare ESX 5.0+ (including vCentre, vRops, SRM) to facilitate setup, administration, monitoring and troubleshooting.
Knowledge in Networking (IPAM, DNS), including Cisco Switches/Routers, F5 (load balancers), and Checkpoint Firewalls.
Proficient in PowerShell and creating automated processes.
Proficient scripting network device changes using available APIs.
Strong troubleshooting skills analyzing system dump contents.
Experience with Insurance software or insurance industry related

Along with the benefits listed above, the salary range for this role is $65,000 to $105,000, commensurate with experience.
