Having 4 5 years sales experience of which two to 3 years in a sales management capacity in an NVOCC/ freight forwarding environment
The sales manager works in coordinating operations, delivering a proper service to customers and optimizing the financial results of services assigned.
Prepares action plans by individuals as well as by team for effective search of sales leads and prospects
Develops a business plan and sales strategy for the market that ensures attainment of company sales targets and profitability
Initiates and coordinates development of action plans to penetrate new markets
Follow up with the agents for the booking, preparing schedules, circulating schedule to customers and to agents
Assists in the development and implementation of marketing plans as needed
Provides monthly Sales Report to General Manager regarding sales performance
Maintains accurate records of all pricings, sales, and activity reports submitted by Account Executives
Controls expenses to meet budget guidelines
Maintains contact with all clients in the market to ensure high levels of client satisfaction
Adheres to all company policies, procedures and business ethics codes and ensures that they are communicated and implemented within the team
Handles customer complaints and resolve issues in a timely manner
Provides guidance and support to the logistics team on a daily basis
Training and development of the operations team including performance evaluations
