VP / SVP Operations

A) Job Responsibilities:

1. Process Management:

Design, implement, and manage operational processes to ensure efficiency and compliance. Identify areas for process improvement and implement changes to enhance productivity and accuracy. Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for all critical operations.

2. Systems Management:

• Oversee the implementation and maintenance of operational systems and software.
• Ensure all systems are integrated effectively and are functioning optimally.
• Work with IT and software vendors to troubleshoot and resolve system issues.
  

3. Operations Oversight:

• Manage daily operations to ensure smooth and efficient workflow.
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track operational efficiency and effectiveness.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
  

4. Team Leadership:

• Should have led and mentored a team of operations staff, providing guidance and support.
• Conduct training sessions to ensure staff are knowledgeable about processes and systems.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement and high performance within the team.
  

5. Project Management:

• Should have experience in Leading and managing operational projects, ensuring timely and successful completion.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to achieve project objectives.
• Develop project plans, allocate resources, and monitor progress.
  

6. Stakeholder Collaboration:

• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to understand their needs and requirements.
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders to ensure alignment and transparency.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, partners, and vendors.

B) Qualifications and skills:

This level of knowledge is normally acquired through completion of a Bachelors Degree in Management, Accounting, or Finance with 10-15 years of directly related experience in Wealth Management Operations, Securities and/or cash processing, and/or Risk management and at least 5 years of experience in a management capacity or equivalent combination of education and experience.

- Minimum of 5 years of experience in operations management within the [insurance/mutual
fund/PMS] industry.
- Strong knowledge of operational processes, systems, and regulatory requirements.
- Proven experience in process improvement and systems optimization.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in relevant software and tools (e.g., CRM systems, project management software).
