Data Scientist - Python Programming (3-6 yrs)

Designation : Data Scientist

Work location : Yeshwanthpur, Bangalore

Total Experience : Minimum of 3 years experience in data science in a remote setting, optimally with a focus on time series and vibration data analysis.

Qualification : Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field (Ph. D preferred).

Job Description :

Key Responsibilities :

- Analyze machining sensor data by collecting, pre-processing, and focusing on time series and vibration data.

- Develop and apply predictive models to address machining challenges, such as tool wear and chatter detection.

- Collaborate with international teams to design, execute, and interpret experiments, presenting actionable findings effectively.

- Support the growth of the Bangalore branch by building strong local connections and fostering collaboration with the German headquarters.

Technical Skills :

- Proficient in Python and libraries such as NumPy, SciPy, Pandas, and signal processing tools (e.g., LibROSA, statsmodels).

- Experienced with machine learning frameworks like TensorFlow, PyTorch, and Scikit-learn, including time series models (e.g., LSTM, CNNs) and familiarity with classical algorithms (e.g., SVMs, Decision Trees, Random Forests).

- Skilled in SQL, with experience in data querying from Python.

Other prerequisites :

- Self-motivated and proactive, with the ability to work independently while aligning with larger team objectives. Anticipates needs, identifies potential challenges, and implements effective solutions.

- Transparent and clear communicator, especially when communicating and documenting technical aspects of software and findings to diverse audiences.

- Passion for contributing to the establishment and growth of the new Bangalore office by building a strong local team culture and fostering a strong link to the headquarters in Germany.

- Aged between 25 to 27 years
