Accounts Manager - Construction Company

Role & responsibilities

• Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliation, bills payable, cash book, general accounting, GST filing, ITR filing, ledger maintenance, service tax return (ST), TDS return preparation.
• Ensure accurate voucher entry and maintain a high level of accuracy in financial records.
• Prepare balance sheets and income statements for internal stakeholders.
• Manage and monitor company cash flow to ensure adequate liquidity.
• Oversee accounts receivable and accounts payable to ensure timely collections and payments.
• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Analyze financial data to ensure accuracy and provide insights into financial performance.
• Prepare variance analysis and reporting for management.
• Provide support to senior management on strategic decision-making by analyzing financial data.
• Prepare and submit timely tax filings and manage audits.
• Work with project managers to track construction costs and ensure profitability on all projects.
• Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Preferred candidate profile

• M.Com, MBA/PGDM in Finance preferred.
• Proficiency in Tally ERP software is essential; knowledge of other accounting packages an added advantage.
• Familiarity with real estate accounting standards and practices.
