The Indian education ecosystem is one of the largest globally, but financing penetration has always been low due myriad factors which Propelld aims to solve through a consumer centric and technology driven approach. The is backed by marquee Investors including WestBridge Capital, Stellaris Venture Partners & IQ (one of the largest investors in Financial Services space - backers of Axis, HDFC, CIBIL, AU small finance bank, and other key consumer internet companies incl Sharechat, Mamaearth, etc). Propelld is set to become the biggest Education Finance company in India over the next few years. The company is on path to grow multi-fold in the next 3 years leading to a public market listing with an IPO .

About the Role:

Senior Manager - Business Finance

Location: HQ at HSR, Bangalore

Responsibilities:

- Financial planning: Developing financial strategies, budgets, and forecasts. Develop forecasts and projections to support the overall financial planning. Setting up a forecasting model while building a framework for annual operating plan

- Financial analysis: Analysing financial data, identifying exceptions, and performing variance analysis at granular level. It would include trends, performance metrics, and key financial indicators to identify opportunities for growth and improvement

- Stakeholder management & drive business outcomes: Working with cross-functional teams to resolve issues and align financial decisions with business strategies

- Performance monitoring & right sizing: Identifying and tracking key performance indicators and associated drivers. Establish KPIs and performance metrics to track revenue performance and effectiveness of revenue initiatives.

- Business decision-making: Influencing business decisions with analysis and recommendations

- Monthly Financial reporting for management: Preparing financial reports / MIS and providing financial insights to senior management. Conduct variance analysis and provide actionable insights to improve revenue performance and mitigate risks

- Data infrastructure development and Data Analytics - Building the data infrastructure to support & develop an analytical and data-driven approach to problem solving. This would be instrumental for developing systems to improve budgeting, financial projections, and operating forecasts process and setting up the business finance function.

Requirements:

- We are looking for more aptitude and focus on excellence than experience. 4-6 years of experience business / strategy/ corporate finance / analytical roles

- An MBA/CA/ BTech degree from renowned institute and with work experience in business analytics, corporate finance/ banking, consulting and investment banking

- Strong analytical & problem-solving skills grounded in data driven analysis with business understanding

- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

- An exceptional ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously with excellent attention to detail.

- Understanding of data structures and comfort with building and maintaining the same. Prior knowledge of querying languages like SQL/ Python/ Excel macros is preferred but aptitude / inclination to learn is must
