Assistant Professor Physiology

The Assistant Professor of Physiology will contribute to teaching, research, and service activities within the department. The role involves delivering high-quality education to undergraduate and postgraduate students, engaging in innovative research, and actively participating in institutional and departmental activities.
Key Responsibilities :
Teaching :

Deliver lectures, laboratory sessions, and tutorials in physiology to undergraduate and postgraduate students.

Develop and update course materials, syllabi, and assessments aligned with current trends and advancements in physiology.

Mentor and guide students in academic projects, dissertations, and career development.

Use innovative teaching methodologies, including technology-enhanced learning and simulation-based approaches.
Research :

Conduct original research in physiology, contributing to the institutionresearch portfolio.

Publish findings in peer-reviewed journals and present at national and international conferences.

Collaborate with other faculty members and institutions on interdisciplinary research projects.

Seek research funding by writing and submitting grant proposals.
Service and Administration :

Participate in departmental and institutional meetings, committees, and events.

Assist in curriculum development and accreditation processes.

Contribute to outreach programs and student recruitment initiatives.

Engage in community service related to the discipline of physiology.

Requirements Qualifications :
Educational Requirements :

MD/MBBS with specialization in Physiology or a related field, or

PhD in Physiology or an equivalent discipline from a recognized institution.
Experience :

Prior teaching experience in physiology at a recognized medical or academic institution is preferred.

Evidence of research activity and publications in indexed journals is highly desirable.
Skills :

Strong knowledge of physiology concepts and their clinical applications.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Proficiency in educational technologies and laboratory teaching tools.

Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary academic environment.
