Professor - Psychiatry

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Psychiatry Professor to join our esteemed institution. The candidate will be responsible for teaching, mentoring, and conducting research in the field of psychiatry. Key Responsibilities:

Teaching and Mentoring:

• Deliver high-quality lectures, seminars, and practical sessions in psychiatry for undergraduate and postgraduate students.
  
• Develop and update course syllabi, learning materials, and assessment methods.
  
• Provide academic and career guidance to students and trainees.
  
• Supervise research projects, dissertations, and clinical rotations.
  

Research and Scholarship:

• Conduct and publish original research in peer-reviewed journals.
  
• Collaborate with faculty and students on interdisciplinary research projects.
  
• Seek and manage research grants and funding opportunities.
  
• Present research findings at national and international conferences.
  

Clinical Responsibilities:

• Participate in clinical duties within the affiliated teaching hospital or institution.
  
• Provide psychiatric consultations and treatment to patients, if applicable.
  
• Maintain high standards of clinical care and ethical practices.
  

Administrative Duties:

• Contribute to departmental and institutional administrative responsibilities, including curriculum development and academic committees.
  
• Participate in student recruitment, admissions processes, and outreach activities.
  
• Stay updated on advancements in psychiatry and integrate new knowledge into teaching and research.
  

Requirements

Qualifications:

• Education: MD/DNB in Psychiatry or equivalent from a recognized institution.
  
• Experience: Minimum of 5 years of teaching experience in psychiatry, including mentorship of postgraduate students.
  
• Research: Proven track record of research publications in reputable journals.
  
• Certification: Valid medical licensure or registration as required by the institution or country of practice.
