Ansible Engineer (5-7 yrs)

About the Job :

Sterlite Technologies Limited (STL) is looking for a skilled Ansible Engineer to join their team in Bengaluru.

The ideal candidate will have expertise in Ansible automation, along with solid experience in Python scripting or other automation scripting languages.

Additionally, the candidate should have a strong understanding of networking concepts and the ability to implement automation solutions to streamline IT operations.

Roles and Responsibilities :

- Automation Implementation : Lead and implement Ansible automation solutions for infrastructure management, configuration, and deployment.

- Scripting : Develop and maintain automation scripts using Python or other scripting languages to automate tasks and processes.

- Networking Concepts : Apply a strong understanding of networking concepts to automate networking tasks and manage network configurations efficiently.

- Continuous Improvement : Identify and implement continuous improvements in automation processes to increase operational efficiency and reduce manual interventions.

- Collaboration : Work closely with cross-functional teams, including DevOps, network, and infrastructure teams, to align automation efforts with business objectives.

- System Configuration and Management : Manage and configure systems using Ansible, ensuring scalability, reliability, and efficient resource utilization.

- Troubleshooting : Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to automation scripts, configurations, and integrations.

Skills and Qualifications :

Required Skills :

- 5+ years of experience in Ansible automation and configuration management.

- Proficient in Python or other scripting languages (Bash, Shell, etc.)

- Solid understanding of networking concepts (e., IP addressing, routing, switching, DNS, DHCP, VLANs).

- Experience with automating infrastructure provisioning, configuration, and deployment processes.

- Strong troubleshooting skills and experience resolving issues related to automation and network configurations.

- Experience with version control tools (e., Git).

- Good understanding of IT infrastructure and DevOps practices.

Additional Skills (Nice to Have) :

- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).

- Familiarity with CI/CD tools (e., Jenkins, GitLab).

- Exposure to network automation tools (e., Ansible Network, Cisco ACI)
