Urgent Opening For Application & Production Support Engineer

• Hands-on experience on Windows / Unix Operating systems
• Conversant on one or more Database Technologies MSSQL / Oracle / Sybase / DB2
• OCA /OCP certified professional
• Knowledge of Middleware

Preferably worked in NCB production support role.

JD:

1. Timely escalations to Supervisor/UH/Vendors for quick incident resolution

2. Prepare Knowledge base documentation for new solutions received

3. Maintain MIS of issues, changes and application downtime for team.

4. Automation/Scheduling of the activity at application or jointly with server and network teams

5. Work self or with vendor for RCA and resolution of issues

6. Perform SIT/UAT for resolution of the issue.

7. Work with BPRG / BSG on various matters for issue analysis and resolution

8. Periodic housekeeping of database and application setups for system availability and uptime.

9. Continuous monitoring of various mails, OEM reports, transaction reports, alerts / parameters for upkeep of applications and action basis of KB for resolving issues.

10. Comply to the incident management, problem management and Change process

11. Perform changes to various environments as per the change Management plan whenever needed.

2. Logging and tracking of Problem Tickets for repeat incidents

3. Database and application backup and restoration Related tasks

4. Vulnerability closure related to configuration and upgrades.

5. Undertake activities to capture system utilization, DB growth pattern for inputs to Capacity Management

6. Undertake BCP drills

7. Execution of specialized activities as assigned to team

8. Monitor database alerts Logs and Analyze issue to fix in production.

9. Manage & resolves incidents pertaining to database, database backups, Tape backups, log shipping jobs, scheduled and automation jobs

10. Focused monitoring on long-running queries especially during high volume processing,, month-end processing & capture transaction volumes for key inputs to IR
