Job Description

• Verify ACH transactions for accuracy and compliance with regulations.
• Monitor ACH returns and handle any exceptions or issues promptly.
• Ensure compliance with NACHA (National Automated Clearing House Association) rules and regulations.
• Verify wire transfer requests to prevent fraud or unauthorized transactions.
• Coordinate with banking partners to facilitate timely and accurate wire transfers.
• Reconciling payments to ensure the accounting system reflects the correct transactions.
• General ledger reconciliations.
• Monitor wire transfer activity for suspicious or unusual transactions.
• Implement controls to mitigate risks associated with wire transfers, such as fraud or errors.
• Receive and record incoming checks accurately.
• Process checks for deposit or clearance in a timely manner.
• Monitor for fraudulent checks and implement security measures to prevent check fraud.
• Handle check returns and exceptions promptly and efficiently.
• Assign the External Debit exceptions within the PayOps team.
• Co-ordinate with the Team on solving External debit exception queries.
• Rectifying the account information and assigning the correct product for manual review exceptions.
• Audit the processed external debits to identify any misapplies and fix misapplies if any.
• Communicate and work with subscribers to close external debit exceptions within the set SLA.
• Connect with creditors to do ACH payment setup for new onboarding subscribers.
• Manage ACH creditor onboarding and setup confirmation reports.
• Manage check payment processing and work with printing and delivery vendors in any issues identified.
• Audit the JSD (Jira service Desk) tickets to make sure we are performing corrective actions maintaining SLA and review with the leadership team to find out gaps if any.
• Create and Manage Runbook documents or SOP documents for all our processes.
• Co-ordinate with different teams to deliver solutions for payment processing issues.
• Perform acceptance testing for product enhancements and bug fixes.

Requirements

• Minimum Graduate or Masters degree
• 3 to 7 years of experience in Payments Operations/Banking Operations/Financial Operations or any similar environment dealing with the operational process, controls and problem-solving.
• Knowledge of ACH processing, Wire Processing and Check Processing.
• PC skills (PowerPoint, Excel, Word - other advanced skills).
• Good to have - My SQL, Looker, Jira & Confluence skills, etc.
• Excellent Verbal and written communication skills
• Time management skills
