Job Title : Core Database Administrator (DBA) with GoldenGate
Position Overview :
We are seeking a skilled Core Database Administrator (DBA) with expertise in Oracle GoldenGate to join our team. The Core DBA will oversee the implementation, configuration, maintenance, and performance of critical Oracle databases, with a focus on data replication and integration using GoldenGate technology. This role demands a deep understanding of database management systems, strong analytical skills, and the ability to thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities :
- Design and implement database schemas, tables, procedures, and permissions.
- Configure and manage Oracle GoldenGate for data replication and integration between databases.
- Monitor database performance, apply patches, and optimize database systems for efficiency.
- Troubleshoot and resolve database issues promptly and efficiently.
- Implement and maintain database security, backup, and recovery strategies.
- Collaborate closely with development teams and system administrators to meet database requirements.
- Perform database capacity planning and resource management.
- Develop and maintain documentation, including standards and operational procedures.
Qualifications :
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Proven work experience as a Database Administrator, specifically with Oracle databases and Oracle GoldenGate.
- Strong understanding of database structures, theories, principles, and practices.
- Experience in database design, implementation, and maintenance.
- Proficiency in Oracle SQL and scripting languages (e.g., SQL, PL/SQL, Shell scripts).
- Hands-on experience with Oracle GoldenGate for data replication and integration.
- Ability to analyze and troubleshoot complex database issues.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
Preferred Qualifications :
- Oracle Database Administration certification (e.g., OCP).
- Experience with Oracle RAC (Real Application Clusters) and Oracle Data Guard.
- Knowledge of cloud-based database technologies (e.g., AWS RDS, Azure SQL Database).
- Familiarity with virtualization and containerization technologies.
