Job Details :

Experience Required : Minimum of 6 years of experience in Oracle databases administration

Qualifications : BE/B.

Tech/Graduation in computer science or related field.

Location : Hyderabad/Remote

Notice Period : Immediate to 15 days (Candidates with a notice period of less than 30 days are preferred)

Mandatory Skills :

- Administration of Oracle on Unix/Linux environments.

- Strong operational familiarity with RAC on Oracle 11g/12c

Skills Required :

- Strong communication skills in English

- Oracle Database Administration on Unix/Linux

- Experience with Oracle RAC on 11g/12c and above

- Familiarity with Cloud technologies and RDS

- Knowledge of PostgreSQL and Cloud RDS (a plus)

- Expertise in database backup/recovery (NAS, RMAN)

- Scripting skills (UNIX shell)

- Problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities

- Familiarity with change and incident management policies

Responsibilities :

- Provide primary support for critical production Oracle databases

- Troubleshoot and resolve incidents

- Ensure 24x7 operation and availability of databases

- Perform DDL generation, cloning, data refreshes, and performance tuning

- Manage database backup/recovery and disaster recovery planning

- Collaborate with development teams to resolve performance issues

- Develop and maintain database standards and procedures

- Identify and resolve database issues proactively

- Work closely with vendors for problem resolution

- Respond to performance inquiries and application errors

- Participate in new system builds and deploy standard jobs

- Ensure system supportability before production utilization

- Document and track problem resolutions

- Provide out-of-hours support for critical issues

- Stay current on Oracle database features and functionality

- Mentor and coach junior database engineers

- Contribute to multiple work streams and set individual goals

- Proactively suggest improvements in operations and technology usage
